Strengthening Social Cohesion by Consolidating Traditional Dispute Resolution Mechanisms and Empowering Women and Girls in Helmand Province.

Human Rights Research and Advocacy Consortium (HRRAC) aims to improve social cohesion and contribute to sustainable and equitable peace, and enhance the meaningful contribution of women and girls in decision making at the community level in underserved localities and settlements in Helmand Province through the provision of integrated and comprehensive community-based programming.

 

The ultimate goal of the project is “enhance social cohesion by consolidating community-based dispute resolution mechanisms, and empower women and girls in Helmand Province.

The specific objectives of the project are:

  1. Consolidated community peacebuilding mechanism that prevents and transform conflict.
  2. Women and girl’s activist and groups empowered to promote women rights, and enhance participation in social life

The project is genrously funded by Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
