Conflict Resolution, Peace and Reconciliation

Afghanistan has a reputation for being one of the most conflict-prone nations in the world, and it has recently been the scene of multiple deadly wars. Since 2006, we have been engaged in this work, advancing initiatives for peace and reconciliation through advocacy, research, and capacity building. In Afghanistan, HRRAC has been a steadfast supporter of inclusive peace and conflict resolution through peaceful means. We have released special reports on peace negotiations, women's involvement in processes for peace and reconciliation, and disarmament and reintegration. The program's goal is to improve the conditions that will allow women to participate fairly and autonomously in national and provincial peace and reconciliation processes through focused actions to remove socio-political barriers.
