Distribution of Sewing machines to the most needy and deserving women in Surobi District of Kabul

HRRAC (Human Rights Research & Advocacy Consortium), with the support from UNDP, has arranged vocational trainings on sewing women clothes in Kabul Province.
One such training was provided to 35 impoverished and marginalized women of Surobi District of Kabul Province. This was a lasting demand of the local women community members that they need assistance in economic empowerment. The training on sewing women clothes is an effective way for women economic empowerment as they will now sew clothes for local sale, and domestic consumption. They are also now better equipped at sewing women clothes and by this way, supporting their families economically.
